Shine, Jesus, Shine

Today, instead of working at the job I actually get paid to do, I worked my butt off for the band. Well, not really, but I did take 10 minutes to talk to Steve Jennings and get the low down on music for Wednesday evening services. Based on our conversation, I highly suggest you all break out the song books you used for Jr. High Youth Group and get rockin' to some of those oldies. Steve suggested we might incorporate one RUF song per week but really wanted something a little easier for the rest of the congregation. If you have any music to songs like, "As The Deer" or "Shine, Jesus, Shine" or possibly "Lord, I Lift Your Name on High" I ask that you bring it to each and every practice for the rest of the summer. I know we know these tunes, but I also know that it has been a really long time since I've attempted to sing or play any of them. We also may want to jazz some of them up and incorporate a little of what we do.
